Rivenwood Phase 3 Proposal

House Types The House Types proposed as part of the Phase Three application represent a contemporary re-imaging of the rural Northern Irish house. The forms and detailing proposed are simpler to those within Phase One and Phase Two areas of Rivenwood, and include for clipped eaves and verges and minimally divided windows both square and rectangular in form. The palette of materials chosen for the House Types include dark and silver-grey cladding against white brick. The design rationale behind the House Types proposed within this phase centre around the emerging demand for low carbon and passive houses. Walls are planned with extra thickness so that there is space for super insulation and airtightness, with solar grain applied to the site layout and choice of window placement. The range of accommodation is gauged to suit a wide range of households and budgets and includes for a range of semi detached and detached dwellings. CGI images of the house types proposed have been shown below and on boards 10 and 11.
