ATLANTIC FUEL SUPPLY COMPANY (AFSC) The facility was one of the first post Buncefield oil terminals of its size to be constructed in the UK and Ireland. Originally a brownfield site, the facility took two and a half years to develop, opening for commercial business in October 2010. The Foynes terminal boasts a storage capacity of 65k tonnes in 16 storage tanks with 5 bottom loading gantries and 1 top loading gantry for vehicle loading, including a Vapour Recovery System.
FLOGAS PDE has an ongoing relationship with Flogas NI and more recently, with Flogas Ireland, to provide various engineering support services. Contracted services include, Engineering support for breakdown/faults with instrumentation or electrical works, preparation of annual engineering budgets, modifications to PLC and SCADA software, Explosion Protection Documentation and Project engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning for any new projects. NATIONAL OIL RESERVES AGENCY (NORA) A current project within the PDE portfolio – this particular project relates to the conversion of an ex Power Station tank farm (circa 140,000m3 storage) and Jetty to be used for strategic storage for the National Oil Reserves Agency in Ireland. The project includes a complete jetty top refurbishment with new pipework and loading arm installation. PDE are acting as Engineering design consultants for the preliminary design / FEED study and as the client’s engineer during the construction stages.
