BALCAS The project involved the replacement of fossil fuel steam boilers with solid biomass (wood pellet) steam boilers (circa 4MW) into 4 distilleries in Scotland. PDE had an overall coordinating role and were responsible for the wood pellet storage system and all connecting services between the new boiler and the existing distillery. This included a series of energy meters which are used to report usage to OFGEM.

KERRY FOODS Following the installation of new industrial catering equipment within the company’s food manufacturing facility, the existing thermal oil pipework (2No 2” Lines & 1No 2.5” Lines, Carbon Steel) had to the rerouted from the existing Boiler House. This involved the removal of redundant sections of pipework & supports from the oven equipment and the subsequent installation of all new pipework and supports.

UM STORAGE PDE were commissioned to provide overall engineering resource for the company’s Belfast storage terminal, comprising six main tanks. Engineering services include external tank inspections, site reviews and maintenance & improvement forward planning.
