JTI GALLAHER PDE were commissioned to assist with the relocation of the Tobacco Expansion plant at the JTI factory located in Ballymena, Northern Ireland to a new factory in Lodz, Poland. The Project comprised Project management, M&E Design and Process Automation. The project team were also onsite in Poland to assist with the commissioning of the plant. SEAGATE TECHNOLOGY PDE were appointed as Design Engineer for the upgrade of the Chemical Distribution facilities for Seagate Technologies. The upgrade project comprised facilities for off-loading, conditioning and distributing chemicals used in the substrate process for the manufacture of computer hard drive discs. The upgrade provided for 8 different chemicals, including several grades of nickel solution, zinc, alkali soak, actane buffer and acid etch solution. Storage tanks were installed and a distribution pipeline connected to the twenty work stations. ALTRO PDE were appointed Principal Designer for the company’s extensive M&E Rationalisation Project at the company’s recently renovated factory, located in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire. The purpose of the project was to de-clutter the factory by the removal of redundant steelwork and redundant services piping by the rationalisation of the entire services pipework system. The project scope included both Outline and Detail Design for the range of engineering disciplines, including Mechanical/Structural, Electrical and Civil.
