He was the Fourth Official in the 2021 Irish Cup Final between Linfield and Larne and also Fourth Official in the 2023 League Cup Final between Linfield and Coleraine. In 2023 he was selected to referee at the UEFA Men’s European Under-17 Championship finals in Hungary, where he was in charge of the quarter final match between Germany and Switzerland. This will be the second final Jamie will referee this season after taking charge of the County Antrim Shield final in February between Larne and Glentoran.

Jamie started refereeing in 2008 at the age of 13 and quickly moved up to intermediate grade (aged 17) in 2012 and then on to the NIFL Championship in 2014. He subsequently made his NIFL Premiership debut in 2017 when he refereed Crusaders v Warrenpoint Town. Jamie attended the UEFA CORE programme in 2017 and got nominated for the FIFA International List of Referees in 2020 – and he is now in his fifth year representing the Irish Football Association in both UEFA and FIFA matches.
