It was back in 1950 that Boxpak started manufacturing crimped baking cases for a bakery in Belfast. We have grown and adapted since then, but our focus on quality and convenient packaging for the food and drink industry has stood the test of time. Still owned by the Parkinson family, Boxpak is now recognised as a leading manufacturer of sustainable printed cartons and aluminium foil containers, with one of the best-equipped production lines in the business. We make packaging for Lucozade, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose products, as well as clients in the pharmaceutical sector. Our quality management, safety and hygiene measures, and production processes are BRC Global Standard accredited.

Sustainable Packaging

Packaging for the Planet When you work with Boxpak, your packaging inherits our strong environmental credentials. We offer a range of recyclable, biodegradable and sustainably-sourced packaging. All the cartons and aluminium foil containers we make are recyclable and the raw materials are from sustainable sources. Low migration inks and water based coatings also allow us to produce the high quality, environmentally friendly packaging we are known for. Through our waste management programme, 100% of our production waste is recycled and we reduce our carbon footprint by using power and carbon reduction units throughout our site, contributing towards our journey to becoming net zero.

Graphic and Structure Design

Bring your packaging ideas to life Our talented design team will create artwork to your brief, and supply mock-ups so that you can see how your packaging will look. Alternatively, you can submit your own graphics to us.

If you are keen to think outside the box, we will design and construct bespoke packaging that is the ideal size, shape and style to protect and showcase your product. Our processes and equipment allow us to make samples very quickly, so you can get your hands on a prototype without committing too much of your time or budget.

To be able to meet the needs of our customers, our business relies on the support of our suppliers. We began working with Boxpak, having had some difficult experiences elsewhere. Our most recent equipment was installed in 2024, which reflects our philosophy of regularly investing to ensure our clients continue to have access to the very best manufacturing machinery.

Cut and Crease

Equipment that’s a cut above Your packaging will really start to take shape when we cut and crease it. As with printing, we use the very best machinery to ensure the job is done to the highest standards and that your carton is ready to be constructed to the exact specification of the design. Our machinery also allows for foil blocking and embossing to add more eye-catching design details to your packaging.

Finishing

Unrivalled attention to detail While many packaging manufacturers outsource the finishing process, we favour the quality control and efficiency benefits of doing it ourselves. We operate on a five acre site, so there’s plenty of space to do this in-house. Our machinery folds and glues cartons into your chosen style. We also offer embossing, window patching and foil blocking to add more attention-grabbing design features to your packaging.

25 years’ foil blocking experience Bring eye-catching detail and a premium touch to your packaging with foil blocking. We are one of the few packaging companies with a dedicated foil blocking machine in-house, so all the work is done by our experienced team. We have enhanced packaging with foil for more than a quarter of a century. Our design team has the expertise to incorporate the perfect metallic flourish to help your product stand out on the shelves.

Boxpak have been supplying Norbev for several years now, creating cardboard multipacks for our soft drink products. We have developed a great partnership with the design team, coming up with bespoke concepts to suit each bottle shape and size. The team at Boxpak are flexible, professional and supply great quality products, whilst offering expert advice and suggestions for bespoke designs that work best for our production and meet the needs of our customers.

Foil Containers

The perfect foil for your products Our history of manufacturing aluminium foil containers is so well established that the UK’s first Chinese takeaway had been open for just two years when we started. We have been supplying a wide range of foil containers to the food industry since 1960. We make aluminium foil patty pans, cups, dishes, plates and trays. We can also work with you to develop a bespoke container for your product.
