The Ballymena-born midfielder has 12 goals to his credit at full international level, which puts him joint fifth in the all-time list of Northern Ireland scorers. Ten of his goals have been scored at the National Stadium at Windsor Park, six of them in the month of October and four of them on the 8th of that month. Hopefully he took that tally to five on Thursday past! To date 57 of Steven Davis’ 119 Northern Ireland games have been played at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park. A total of 62 have been played away from Belfast, seven of which took place at neutral venues. Davis has ended up on the winning side in 49% of those 57 home matches, 18% of them have resulted in draws and 33% have ended in defeats.

During his long and distinguished international career Davis has only been yellow carded on seven occasions. His first booking came in a 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat in Slovenia on 11 October 2008 with his last caution coming against the Dutch in the scoreless draw in Belfast on 16 November 2019.
