Urban Villages Initiative Tooklit
Photography & Video
It is important to have quality images for your own use and to provide to us to use across all communication platforms and to have as a record of the project. If it is you or someone on your project team taking the photographs try to use a good quality camera or camera phone, it will make a big difference. Always provide the media with a portrait or landscape option, for online a letterbox frame is best for key images.
+ Photography must be provided for all funded projects to info@ urbanvillagesni.org + Films must include the Urban Villages 3 set logos and Urban Villages Twitter handle, @UrbanVillagesNI and must be submitted for sign off before final edit or publication
Orientation Photos can be easily edited/cropped if the first image isn’t perfect. All good camera phones should allow you to do this. Focal points such as faces and objects should be within the central field of the image. Being close to the edge means cropping is limited.
