The rest of the points came from the boot of Cousens. The championship was then sealed with a 6-20 win over Leinster on the final weekend at Ashbourne RFC as Cousens and Stewart crossed the whitewash. Cousens converted both scores and kicked two penalties for a personal match tally of 15 points. Congratulations and good luck for the season ahead.

Jason Morgan’s impressive squad won the series for the first time in ten years after a clean sweep of victories over the other three provinces. Ulster opened their campaign with a hard fought 12-20 win over Connacht at Westport RFC thanks to two tries from Enniskillen’s Jamie Johnston and one from his back row colleague Curtis Stewart. Portadown’s Chris Cousens kicked a penalty and a conversion to complete the scoring. They followed up that result by comfortably overcoming Munster 35-0 at Carrickfergus RFC.
