Jason Morgan’s impressive squad won the series for the first time in ten years after a clean sweep of victories over the other three provinces. Ulster opened their campaign with a hard fought 12-20 win over Connacht at Westport RFC thanks to two tries from Enniskillen’s Jamie Johnston and one from his back row colleague Curtis Stewart. Portadown’s Chris Cousens kicked a penalty and a conversion to complete the scoring. They followed up that result by comfortably overcoming Munster 35-0 at Carrickfergus RFC. The home side stormed into a 23-0 lead by half time as Bangor duo Stewart and Mark Widdowson
