Ulster Rugby vs Munster

Chief Executive’s

Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Round 21 in the Guinness PRO12 ! There’s another feast of rugby ahead of us today at Kingspan Stadium which we hope you enjoy ! Ulster will want to continue their winning ways and move up the table to secure a home semi-final, while Munster seek to stay ahead of them for a chance to play a home Play-Off in Thomond Park. All derby matches produce something special and today will be no exception. Both teams will be trying to earn those priceless winning points here as we’re now at the business end of the season with only two matches left in the league section. Fans of today’s teams have already bought tickets to this year’s Guinness PRO12 Final here at Kingspan Stadium, Belfast on Saturday May 30th 2015 at 6.30pm. General tickets are now sold out. The Final will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and on a terrestrial television channel (BBC Wales/Alba/Northern Ireland – S4C – TG4), depending on who the finalists are. Each of the finalists will receive 2,000 tickets and these will be in strong demand. After Round 20 little separates many of the teams in the Guinness PRO12. There are 4.32 tries scored per match on average, and this figure is increasing as weather improves, so lots of good entertainment and lots to play for ! I would like to pay tribute to the work of the match officials this season and wish them all the very best for these Round 21 fixtures and the rest of the season. Congratulations to today’s referee Nigel Owens on his handling of his fourth European Champions Cup Final last week at Twickenham, another polished performance. Finally and most importantly, I would like to acknowledge the contribution of all our clubs, partners, all our broadcasters and media and you the supporters, who ensure all 12 clubs and the competition have fantastic support throughout the season. Enjoy today’s match and I hope everyone revels in another great rugby weekend !
