Willie Le Roux joined the club in February 2017 having signed from the Japanese side Canon Eagles. In his first season in black and gold Le Roux made 11 appearances, scoring a trying on his home debut against Gloucester. The 27-year-old fullback has won 41 caps for South Africa and was voted SARPA Players’ Player of the Year in 2013.

Le Roux has built a reputation as one of the world’s most exciting fullbacks. Acting as a world-class general at the back, possessing the ability to expertly guide his team around the field and launch devastating attacks from deep.

Wade started playing rugby at RGS High Wycombe before joining the Wasps youth set up as a teenager. Since then he has made a huge try-scoring impact, with notable records including finishing as the second highest try scorer in the Premiership in 2011/12, joint top try scorer in the Aviva Premiership in 2012/13 and he equaled Dominic Chapman's record for the most tries scored by an individual in a Premiership season with 17 tries during 2016/17. His reward was a place in the Aviva Premiership Dream Team for 2016/17, alongside fellow Wasps Elliot Daly, Joe Launchbury and Jimmy Gopperth and being named Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for March. Christian's additional representative honours include England Sevens, England U16, U18 and he was a key part of the England U20 side which won a Grand Slam Six Nations title and reached the final of the Junior World Cup, at which he finished joint top try scorer, alongside Ulster’s very own Charles Piutau.
