comfortably dispatching City of Derry in the last round. In the second semi-final, Ballynahinch will host Dungannon at Ballymacarn Park. Ballynahinch have already accounted for Queen’s University and Omagh in the Senior Cup and will be aiming to reach a first final since 2017, when they defeated Dungannon. Dungannon are another team with plenty of confidence, following wins over Malone and Ballymena in the earlier rounds of the Senior Cup. The semi-finals are due to be played on / before Saturday 18th January, with the Bank of Ireland Senior Cup final scheduled for Friday 6th March at Kingspan Stadium.
The draw for the semi-finals of the Bank of Ireland Senior Cup took place at Kingspan Stadium on Monday afternoon. Champions for the past two seasons, City of Armagh, have been handed a tricky tie away to Rainey Old Boys. The Armagh men will certainly be favourites, however Rainey will be full of confidence following early season wins over Queen’s University and Ballynahinch in the SONI Ulster Rugby Premiership, and an impressive away win over Belfast Harlequins in the Senior Cup quarter-finals.
