Ulster Rugby v Edinburgh

ULSTER U18 GIRLS SQUAD The Ulster U18 Girls Management team have named a squad of 26 girls selected from nine clubs within the Province for the Inter-Provincial Series, which continues this weekend.

Katie Hetherington will captain the team alongside vice-captain, Kelly McCormill. Both have represented Ireland on the 7s stage and been an integral part of the Ulster setup for the past three years. The squad has a good mix of youth and experience and have worked extremely hard over the past few months in preparation for this year's series. This includes 13 uncapped players who are ready to make a mark in the Ulster jersey over the next few weeks. Head Coach Charlie Farrell commented, "Training alongside the Ulster Senior Women has really lifted the intensity of our sessions. The girls have worked extremely hard over the summer months and now it’s time to put it all into practise.”

provincial Series this year, Kelly is a hard hitting centre who is extremely hard to deal with in attack because of her strength, footwork and deceptive pace. Consistently putting her team on the front foot with her line breaks.

KATIE HETHERINGTON set up for four years, Katie has become a true leader on and off

the pitch. Her work rate as a flanker is outstanding, regularly topping the tackle and turnover count, as well as being a destructive ball carrier in attack.
