DRIVER PROFILE:

TOM EDGAR

Eighteen year old Tom Edgar, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, has been making quite a name for himself recently on the race circuits of the UK and Europe.

Following an extensive career in kart racing, competing across the UK, Europe and the USA, Tom took the step up to cars – having had 2 successful campaigns in Ginetta Junior, followed by an award-winning British GT4 debut season, he’s looking forward to continuing his winning ways, competing in the European GT4 series. This brings with it a heightened level of media interaction and with that in mind Tom has undergone intensive media training, preparing and developing his interview skills and on camera personality. Attention has also been paid to physical and mental fitness and Tom has made this an integral part of his career, developing techniques in personal training, sports psychology and nutrition, turning himself into a well-rounded athlete.

GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES

The GT4 European Series consists of 12 races across 6 rounds. Each race weekend features two free practice sessions, qualifying and two one-hour sprint races, with two drivers per car. It visits some of the best circuits in Europe, including the iconic circuits of Monza in Italy, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and Paul Ricard in France. There is an additional, non-championship endurance round, The Six Hours of Rome, at Vallelunga in Italy at the end of the season. It is one of the most prestigious GT championships in Europe, with drivers competing in makes such as BMW, Mercedes AMG, Toyota, Aston Martin, Porsche and McLaren.
