What we offer you

Affordable and stable pricing Thistle Tenant Risks’ premiums are designed to meet the needs of tenants; they’re not only affordable, they also benefit from stable pricing for the longer term. This in turn encourages greater scheme participation. How do we achieve this? All Arms Length scheme administration is conducted by Thistle Tenant Risks in-house, so there are no fees built into the premiums for any third party administrators

There are no unnecessary costs to the scheme for Desk Handled claims – these are handled direct by the insurers.

We have a wealth of data which allows us to price extremely accurately.

Software Option Using our free and exclusive Lilac Lite 2 software, housing providers are able to administer their own Tenants Home Contents Insurance Scheme. Lilac Lite 2 is a fully web based multi-user system. Contact us for further information or for access to our demonstration version. Marketing To help support your scheme we promise extensive, innovative marketing support which is specifically designed to increase take up of insurance amongst your tenants. Our online training tool is soon to be re-launched and our tenant call back service and micro web sites continue to be used extensively by housing providers and their tenants. Specialist focus on the tenants’ contents insurance market The Thistle Tenant Risks team lives and breathes tenants’ content insurance. Each member of our team has extensive experience in the marketplace which enables us to provide a total service from in-house. This experience has taught us that one size does not fit all so you’ll never hear us talk about a single product offering - we make sure we are flexible to meet individual housing providers’ requirements. Our cover is also designed to meet the changing lifestyles of tenants too e.g. lodgers, special needs or disabled residents with unlockable rooms, key safes and so on. As your needs continue to change, we will change with you. That is why we have dedicated resource to on-going product and systems development, so we can meet new challenges head on.

We believe our strength in looking after you and your tenants lives in our team approach. Our structure means that, even in the absence of your Account Manager, we have a dedicated team who will be familiar with your scheme and can deal with your queries. We also have a designated internal marketing and promotion team to provide the essential support you need to grow your scheme and a structured growth plan to achieve increased take up of insurance amongst tenants. We work hard to meet the challenges of a changing environment; our team has been instrumental in introducing many new initiatives to enable low income families to take out insurance.

Meet The Management Team Thistle Tenant Risks is a team of 20 dedicated specialists – meet some key members of this team below. Tony Fawcett - Executive Director

Sally Alvey – Scheme Manager

Sally is responsible for the overall scheme client relationship working with the Account Managers to provide with her team full marketing support, scheme documentation and the on-going delivery of a quality scheme. Sally previously worked for another broker in a similar role. Emma Long – Administration Director Emma manages our in-house, arm’s- length administration team. Emma is responsible for the daily administration and contact with tenants regarding their individual insurance. Jo Rees – Systems Manager Jo is responsible for our arms-length policy administration system and also provides support to those clients who use the software to administer their own with rent scheme

Tony assumes overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and direction of Thistle Tenant Risks. He has over 45 years of experience in the personal lines insurance sector and has spent the last 15 years developing Thistle Tenant Risks. Dean Seager – Development Director Dean has over 20 year’s experience in the insurance industry, 12 of which were as an Associate Director at another broker with responsibility for the management of the company’s Tenants Contents Insurance schemes across the UK. Dean has been with Thistle Tenant Risks for over five years. Allison Williamson - Account Director Allison has recently joined Thistle having previously worked within the Tenants Contents Insurance Market for another provider. Allison has over 20 years of experience within the sector.

Nick is an experienced account manager who also shares responsibility for the development of new scheme relationships. Nick previously worked for a well known personal lines insurance broker. Chris Tarrier - Sales/Account Executive Chris supports many of our existing schemes clients. Chris previously worked for a personal lines insurance broker managing a local office. Shannon Devine - Schemes Administrator Shannon supports the team and our scheme clients by providing internal support for scheme development.
