GILLIAN & STEWART Stewart and I got married in Helen’s Bay Presbyterian Church on Saturday 26th November 2022 and had our wedding reception at The Royal Belfast Golf Club. Stewart is Scottish so we were piped out of the Church and into the Clubhouse and I understand that the bag pipes could be heard all round the course. There was a drinks reception upstairs in the Baillie Room with delicious canapes served by Tracey, Jayne, Gareth, Sarah and Elaine and a harpist playing in the background. Lunch was served in the main dining room and the food was truly wonderful, followed by coffee and wedding cake back upstairs in the Baillie Room. The Clubhouse was decorated beautifully, for which I would like to thank everyone who gave of their time to help make it all look so well. Some of our guests had never been at Royal Belfast before and they thought it was just brilliant. So many commented on how extremely impressive the Club was, yet still it retained that relaxed, family friendly atmosphere. We had an absolutely fantastic day with friends and family around us and enjoyed every single minute but we are acutely aware that these occasions do not just happen and to that end we would like to thank Tracey for helping us to arrange our special day. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We would also like to thank Linda and the team in the kitchen for all their help and advice regarding the menu and of course Jayne and all the team in the bar and dining room. It was a day we will never forget.
