The Royal Belfast Golf Club - Your Guide to Rooms and Facilities

The Herdman Room The heartbeat of the Clubhouse. Pull up a chair.

Named after Henry Herdman, Honorary Secretary and former Captain of the Club — and one of the grandees of Irish golf at its inception, a founding member of both Royal Portrush and Royal County Down. The Herdman Room is where Royal Belfast Members gather after their rounds. Over the past decade, this casual bar has evolved into the true heart of Club life—buzzing with the kind of easy, unhurried conversation that happens when people who love the same place sit down together. You will almost certainly know someone in here, and if you don’t, you soon will. Come in after your round. Come in on a Friday evening when you haven’t played. Come in on a winter afternoon when the fire is on and the Lough is doing something spectacular outside.
