Speed of Play - the acceptable standard is 3 1/2 hours for a four-ball game. Please keep pace. Royal Belfast supports Ready Golf. Always be ready to play your shot. Mark your scorecard on the next tee. Golfers are expected to: • If your ball lands in a bunker, please respect other players and rake the bunker after you play your shot . • If you take a divot, please respect the course, and fill with divot mix or replace the divot . • If your ball creates a pitch mark on the green, please respect the course and repair the pitch mark . Players should have due regard to priority on the course in appropriate circumstances: • Players are required to defer to the competition of the day. • Two-balls have priority over three-balls and four-balls. • Four-balls have priority over three-balls. • Playing in a five-ball is not permitted at any time on the course. (Should five players wish to play together, two players may play foursomes.) • Those starting other than from the 1 st tee have no standing on the course and should give way at all times. PRACTICE ON THE COURSE The only practice permitted on the course is as follows: • On the Practice Ground, any club other than a driver may be used; • Practice chipping on to greens is permitted from the back of any green, other than the 18th hole.
