LADIES ANNUAL DINNER We celebrated the Christmas season and a successful year at the Ladies’ Annual Dinner on 13th December, attended by 87 Members. The evening began with a prize-giving of turkey vouchers and the 2022 season trophies and prizes which remained to be presented. This was followed by an excellent meal. The Lady Vice-Captain, Louise Beggs, paid tribute to the Lady Captain, Barbara Neeson, for her commitment and leadership and her valued contribution to a successful and enjoyable year of golf and social events at the Club. pumpkin cake and shortbread were shared in festive surroundings. The Lady Captain held a raffle with prizes of a turkey and ham for the two lucky winners, raising £522 for her chosen charity, Horatio’s Garden. LADIES MINCE PIE PARTY A good turn-out of golfers and non golfers gathered in the Harrison Room on Wednesday 7th December for our annual Ladies Mince Pie Party. REGIONAL FINALS Australian Spoons - Ulster Final - The Australian Spoons Ulster Final was held at Lough Erne on Monday 18th July. Gillian Hool and Cai Graham represented Royal Belfast along with the gross winners Alex Barnes and Anne McCandless. Alex and Anne qualified with 41 points to represent Ulster at the All Ireland Final which was held at County Longford Golf Club on 22nd August. At the final they played well, scoring 35 points. Daisy Ferguson - Ulster Final - Our representatives, Gillian Haldane and Claire Minnis, came 10th with 40 points in the Daisy Ferguson Ulster Final, held at Royal County Down Annesley Links on Monday 1st August. Silver & Bronze Medal Final - The Silver and The Bronze Medal finals were played at Lisburn GC on 30th August. Silver: Gillian Haldane, unfortunately, due to other commitments was not able to attend the final. Bronze: Rosie Wilson represented Royal Belfast at Lisburn, but did not qualify for the final at Headford GC.
