“I’m sure a lot of clubs are unhappy about it because the league season is just about to start but these things are out of our control. “As much as the timing isn’t great, one thing never changes: it is an honour and a privilege to be called up by your country and I look forward to it every single time. I never take that feeling for granted.” He explained he was really looking forward to meeting up with the other members of the squad last week ahead of the UEFA Nations League double header against Romania and Norway. And he further revealed: “I’ve been looking forward to getting back to Windsor Park, and although there will be no fans there to cheer us on we still want to put on a show for those watching at home. “During lockdown we all spoke on group chats and things like that. We are a close group and when you have that it makes things a lot easier. “A lot of people have said it in the past but the international squad really does feel like a club because we are so close and want to do well for each other.” And even though a victory is all that matters against Norway, Dallas joked he may use the opportunity to see if their star man fancies following in his dad’s footsteps. “Everyone knows all about Erling Haaland and what he has achieved in recent years. He has been incredible and after moving to Borussia Dortmund he has just kicked on again,” he said. “Obviously there is a Leeds connection with him as well as his dad played for the club - maybe I’ll have a quick chat with him after the game to see if he fancies a change of scenery. “He is a player we will have to watch closely but we go into the game with no fear whatsoever. “It’s the manager’s first home game and I know he will be very like Michael O’Neill in terms of preparation and we will be ready for the game.”
