Has spent the majority of his career in the Bundesliga, but recently joined Swiss top flight side Basel. AGE 21 CAPS 18 GOALS 5 Considered one of the most promising young players in Europe, Szoboszlai scored in the Champions League as a teenager for Red Bull Salzburg. Became the most expensive Hungarian player ever when he joined Leipzig. Szoboszlai scored the goal that secured Hungary’s passage to Euro 2020, but missed the tournament through injury.

Under-21 level before, he has been called up to the senior squad having scored a glut of goals in the Hungarian top flight. He had managed to net 23 times in his 24 games, 11 more than any other player in the division, before the most recent round of fixtures.
