meant he became the 11th player in Northern Ireland’s history to score a hat-trick and the first since David Healy in March 2007. At 21 years and 20 days he became the youngest player to score three goals in a full international, beating the long-standing record held by Olphie Stanfield who was 21 years and 346 days when he scored his hat-trick against Wales on 7 February 1891.
Last month Isaac Price became only the fifth player to score a hat-trick at the National Stadium/ Windsor Park for Northern Ireland. There have been more players born in September (77) to have represented Ireland/Northern Ireland in the past 142 years than any other month of the year. The most popular date for full Northern Ireland internationals to be born on is 26 September, which is also the date on which last month’s hat-trick hero Isaac Price was born!

The emphatic 5-0 victory over Bulgaria was only the fourth time in Northern Ireland’s history that they have managed to score five goals in a full international fixture. The other occasions were:
