Taking part in the Lap of Legends were well-known JERW PMOI [SVPH FS\MRK GLEQTMSR 'EVP *VEQTXSR actors Jimmy Nesbitt and Charlie Lawson, former world snooker champion Dennis Taylor, TV presenter Eamonn Holmes, musician Gary Lightbody and sports broadcaster Jackie Fullerton. They were joined by supporters from across the generations, captains of Northern Ireland’s various men’s and women’s teams as well as representatives from the Irish FA’s elite development programme, Club NI. Also taking part in the lap were football legends Pat Jennings, Sammy McIlroy, Mal Donaghy and Gerry Armstrong, who played at the 1982 and 1986 ;SVPH 'YT ƤREPW EPSRK [MXL 3P]QTMG KSPH QIHEPPMWX Dame Mary Peters and Paralympic gold medallists Bethany Firth and Kelly Gallagher.

Northern Ireland football greats Harry Gregg and Peter McParland, heroes of the 1958 World Cup team, were also introduced to the crowd by TV and radio presenter Colin Murray, who acted as MC for the special lap. Other guests at the San Marino game included top golfer Rory McIlroy. Following the Lap of Legends there was also a ribbon cutting ceremony pitchside. It was performed by two very special guests: campaign GEVH LSPHIVWɄ)PPI ERH .E] /RS[PIW [LS [IVI accompanied by their father John and grandad Robert. Elle and Jay were chosen to cut the ribbon through a lottery-style process featuring all young campaign card holders.
