The full list of criteria will be available to parents on the Education Authority’s website. www.eani.org.uk. The digital admissions process opens on 9 January 2025 and closes at 12 noon on 24 January 2025. Duty To Verify Applicants should note that they may be required to produce documents verifying their address or other information pertinent to the school’s admission criteria. The provision of false or incorrect information or the failure to provide verifying documents according to the required deadline may result in either the withdrawal of a place or the inability of the school to offer a place. Waiting List Policy Should a vacancy arise after placement letters have been issued, all applications for admission to Primary 1 that were initially refused, new applications, late applications and applications where new information has been provided will be treated equally and the published criteria applied. This waiting list will be in place until the end of the academic year. The school will contact parents in writing if a child gains a place in the school by this method. A child’s name will be automatically added to the list. Parents should contact the school if they wish for their child to be removed from the list. The school does not operate a Waiting List Policy for P2–P7.

Admissions Criteria Authority for enrolment decisions is delegated to a Sub Committee of the Boards of Governors. Criteria for Admission to Year 1 Admissions criteria to be used in the event of the school being oversubscribed. The criteria are listed in order of priority. 1. Children of compulsory school age who are resident in Northern Ireland at time of proposed admission. 2. Children with a brother/half-brother or sister/ half-sister currently or previously enrolled in the school or accepted for enrolment in September 2025. 3. First child in the family to attend mainstream primary school. 4. Children whose parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles are present employees. 5. Children whose parent/guardian previously attended the school. 6. Children living closest to the school. This will be measured by a straight line on digital Ordnance Survey map (NI Direct) from the family home, at the time of application (on or before 24 January 2025) to the front pedestrian gates of the school. The above criteria will also apply for admissions after the beginning of the school year in situations where the numbers of applications exceed the number of vacant places (if any).
