feat — while Joseph Barr and Daniel Gamble (2) were also on the scoresheet. The cup journey came to an end against Cookstown High, who went on to win the competition, but we can be proud of making it through a few tough rounds. The team was anchored by goalkeeper Reuben Officer, who made some key saves under pressure. At the back, James Ewart stood out as a strong, skilful defender alongside James Bradley, a solid and strong presence in the backline. Noah Thompson grew in confidence with every match, while Eli Curran made great progress this season — his defending improved, and his ability to read the game meant he made a valuable contribution to the team’s success.

In midfield, Tom McMullan was the driving force — not only scoring goals but making sure the team kept possession and dictated the match. His creativity and finishing ability made him our best player this season. Joseph Barr, another key midfielder, improved tremendously and weighed in with some important goals. Gavin Smith,

In the next match, we secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against Methodist College again, thanks to a decisive goal from Daniel Gamble. The team then faced a tough challenge against RBAI and fell to a strong side 3-0. Nevertheless, the boys responded brilliantly against Regent House, securing a 5-3 win. Tom McMullan and Joseph Barr both scored 2 goals and Daniel Gamble added another.

a versatile player who filled in at defence and midfield, made huge strides forward and is now a much more assured and composed presence on the pitch. Daniel Gamble, a clever and composed midfield operator, also scored key goals when the team needed him. In attack, small but quick, Caleb Murray provided a spark up front, and Sohil Bande was a really valuable team player — always willing to learn, putting in great effort, and popping up at just the right moment to score a few goals for the team. Dylan Davison made clever runs into the D and opened up space for his teammates, while Ewan Ewart, a Year 8 student, impressed everyone with his maturity and ability to handle physical games against older opposition. Henry McCurley, a forward or midfield utility, worked hard all season and made a valuable contribution. The team was supported by a wonderful coaching team — Scott Mackey, Lewis Smyth and Harry McMullan — who kept the boys motivated, prepared and hungry to improve. I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the coaches for their time, effort and encouragement. Overall, this has been a season filled with progress, hard work, and plenty of highlights. The team grew together, supported each other, and challenged themselves against strong opposition. There is a huge amount of potential in this group, and if the players continue to develop their skills and confidence, we can look forward to even more success in the future. Mr M Nelson

Later in the season we fell to a powerful Sullivan Upper side 5-2, although Tom McMullan fought back with 2 goals of his own. After Christmas, the team refocused and put in a tremendous performance in their first match of 2025 — a 5-1 win in the Ferris Cup against City of Armagh. Tom McMullan was in majestic form, scoring 4 goals, while Joseph Barr added another. In the following match, we fell narrowly 2-1 to Campbell College, with Tom McMullan again adding to his scoring tally. The team responded strongly in their next match with a huge 8-0 win against Ballycastle High in the Ferris Cup. Tom scored 5 goals in that match — a remarkable
