school. The photo of the four boys with their parents, who had faithfully supported them every Saturday for the previous seven years, was a particularly special one. The goalkeeping duties for the season were shared between Nathan Lakota and Callum Wilson. In all honesty, there was so little to separate the boys. They were both excellent goalkeepers and a pleasure to work with. The defence included Harrison Finlay, James Shields, Finn McSorley and Jacob Bell. These boys were superb and will likely be the leaders of next year’s 1st XI. The midfield consisted of Thomas Barr, Tom McMullan and Ben Ewart whilst our attack varied between Ollie Burns, Lewis Waters, Thomas Bailie and Rory Hobbs but, like any good team, all of these players switched positions and could play in both midfield and attack at any time. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable season in which the boys should be congratulated for their perseverance and determination to continue to work hard and improve as the year progressed. A special thanks should go to Mr Nelson who has brought
enormous experience to the coaching team and not least a winning mentality. Special mention should also go to the parents who supported us throughout the year. Your support each week was never taken for granted and was greatly appreciated. Mr J Young
