throughout their time in the school and can be so proud of their achievements. To end their time with Grosvenor with three pieces of silverware and tours to Madrid and Valencia is most satisfying. Alfie was the Captain of the team. As a junior player, he was fiercely determined in matches which, on occasions, spilled over into frustration and anger. As he matured as a young man, he never lost that fierce determination but did learn to channel his drive into performances on the pitch and leading by example. He was a pleasure to coach and will be sorely missed by everyone. We wish him well for his future endeavours at Durham University and perhaps with Annadale if he returns to these shores. to the cause, they were very dependable and ended up with some incredible core memories in their final season with the School. Whilst they were inseparable for many years, they took their own distinctive paths in Senior School. Matthew had spent some time in the gym working on his upper frame which undoubtedly slowed him down on the pitch; he adapted quickly and was able to offer a different style of play up front than in the past. As he moved onto the 1st XI, his close skills and decision making improved immeasurably and, coupled with his remarkable engine and intense speed, made him such a handful for the opposition. We can look back to a particular point on the Tour to Madrid when it clicked with Finn when attacking down the right and he never looked back. He regularly ‘smoked’ the opposition with his pace, attacked the circle and caused havoc winning many short corners and creating goal scoring chances. He was a tremendous athlete and we look forward to following his progress after he leaves school. Adam and Matthew Peel were both a joy to coach over the years. Faithful at training and always committed
