crucial win against Killicomaine, setting up a much anticipated rematch in the final. In the final, Killicomaine came out determined, but Grosvenor’s composure under pressure was exemplary. A relentless defensive effort ensured that Killicomaine never crossed the try-line, while clinical finishing in attack secured a well-deserved victory and the tournament title. To go through an entire tournament undefeated is a notable achievement; to do so without conceding a single try is extraordinary. It is a testament to the dedication, discipline, and teamwork that this group of young players have displayed all season long. This triumph provided a wonderful conclusion to what has U12 Boys Rugby

been a hugely successful season for Grosvenor U13s. The players, coaches, and supporters alike can look back with pride and look forward with great excitement to the future. Finally, a big thank you to the parents who supported the team every week in all sorts of weather. It was greatly appreciated. I know the boys will also have appreciated the time, commitment and expertise that Mr Cowan gave to the cause, and there is no doubt that his passion and influence played a part in Grosvenor getting over the line in the key games. This season was no different, with several players beginning their rugby life on the lowest team and progressing to the top side by the end of the year.

Throughout the season, there were several notable performers. Harry Stone captained the side, a fantastic achievement in his first season ever playing rugby. Harry brought a physical edge and a clear desire to improve in every training session. He has all the traits you would like to see in a captain, and chose often to lead by example, rather than shouting empty words or statements. Rudi Arkensparr-Jones offered electric pace on the wing, finishing off many try opportunities without defenders even being able to lay a hand on him. Reuben Carson has all the qualities to become an exceptional player in the backline; speed, strength, developing skills, if he focuses going forward he could be a very influential player for this team. Finally Adam Braithwaite offered a
