‘I quite enjoyed the carousel as I have been interested in a career in chemistry or chemical engineering. The speaker I went to was from a company called ALMAC and he spoke about careers in researching, mass-producing, refining, labelling, and marketing of pharmaceuticals such as medicine or cures. This talk also gave me an idea of Higher-Level Apprenticeships as ALMAC offers a five-year course of working and studying while earning a wage, a guaranteed job and Master’s degree at the end of it. This is something I am keenly looking into and overall made the talk very enjoyable.’ Keyaan Ahmed, 10S The Medical Society reconvened this year and had various guest speakers who helped them gain an understanding of the finer details of life as a medic. We finished the year with workshops for both Year 9

and Year 11 from Eye4education. These helped pupils develop vital skills required to excel in any workplace. ‘Many of the activities we participated in were helpful in building team-work skills. For example, the bridge building allowed us to work together and use problem solving skills which complimented each other’s ideas.’ Rachel Catney, 11S I would like to take this opportunity to wish the Class of 2025 the very best of luck. Your career path may not always be straight forward, but you have gained the skills required to navigate your way to success. We in the Careers Department are always here to support you. We hope you will stay in touch and will consider coming back to Grosvenor to inspire our pupils in their career journeys.
