can reach their full potential and everyone can feel as though they belong. The 1st XI Hockey Team were fortunate enough to have two unforgettable trips to Madrid and Valencia, which without a doubt brought us closer as a squad. In my final year, the ski trip to Italy was a truly special week having spent seven years with my year group building lifelong friendships. Above all, what I am most grateful for is the relationships that I have built with both pupils and teachers which are sure to last long after I leave for university. There wasn’t a day where I didn’t look forward to going to school and this is testament to Grosvenor’s warm and welcoming nature. I am so thankful to the staff at Grosvenor, whether it be in class or on the sports field, for their genuine dedication and support. Their willingness to make time for pupils through extra help with their studies or involvement in the extra-curricular life of the School makes a huge difference and does not go unrecognised. As difficult as it is to grasp that my time at Grosvenor has come to an end, I will always feel the strongest sense of belonging to the Grosvenor community. It’s a time I will look back on with fond memories and immense pride. including one (hopefully two!) trips to Tullamore for Irish Schools’ Athletics in the relay team. The overnight stay for the competition was one of the funniest nights, surrounded by friends from all year groups and brilliant teachers who made it so special. The dedication shown by the staff at Grosvenor has been outstanding. I will forever be grateful for the time and effort they gave up to support us in every way. Another highlight of Year 14 was the Ski Trip - easily one of the best weeks of my life. It wasn’t just the skiing that made it amazing, but also the evening activities: card games, karaoke, Just Dance and, of course, the games of “Inky Pinky Ponky Wonky”, that brought our year closer than ever. As I move on from Grosvenor and head to the University of Glasgow to study Biology, my biggest piece of advice is simple: get involved. It truly transforms your school experience - helping you build lasting friendships across all year groups and great relationships with staff. Although I am moving on, I will always look back on my seven years at Grosvenor with nothing but happiness and gratitude. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making it so special. Grosvenor will always hold a place in my heart.

If I had been told on my first day at Grosvenor about the opportunities I would have access to, the people I would meet, and the experiences I would be part of – I would not have believed it. To call my time here incredible is an understatement. Since Year 8, sport has been such a highlight for me, and school hockey in particular has a special place in my heart. Over the years I have loved those cold, early Saturday mornings and commitment to school hockey led me to captain the 1st XI to win both the McCullough Cup Tier 2 and Burney Plate finals. There was no better feeling than playing with the cheers from staff and pupils behind you and they are days that I will never forget. I had the chance to play in table tennis, winning the Irish Team Championships in Dublin, and cricket and athletics during the summer months. I enjoyed days out at cross-country, football and even a small stint in the Junior Choir. I know how lucky I am to have been part of such an encouraging environment in Grosvenor which is full of opportunity. It is certainly one where everyone

My time at Grosvenor has been nothing short of incredible. I still remember sitting in the first assembly, listening to Dr Vasey say how

quickly the years would fly by. At the time, I thought it was just a cliché - but little did I know how true those words would be. It genuinely feels like only yesterday that I walked through the school gates for the first time. From the very beginning, I threw myself into sport at Grosvenor—playing hockey and netball, taking part in cross country and athletics and even a bit of football. Sport gave me a real sense of purpose within the school, and many of my greatest friendships were formed through it. Years of playing together on the hockey pitch has created a bond unlike any other and countless memories that I will always treasure. Reaching three finals in three years with the girls was magical and I will always be proud of what we achieved together. My favourite years were undoubtedly the final two. They were filled with more sporting highlights -
