Charity Club Over the last year the Charity Committee, formed from dedicated pupils in Year 13 and 14, have been hard at work organising and counting weekly donations from pupils across the school. Each year group selected a charity that they wanted to support and committed to making regular donations. In October, Form Classes carefully assembled packages filled with gifts in response to the Blythswood Shoebox Appeal. Grosvenor donated over 40 shoeboxes to be given to children and adults in poverty across Europe in time for Christmas. In December 2024, the Charity Committee responded to the Simon Community Christmas Appeal. Our annual Christmas Jumper Day was a day filled with joy and raised vital funds for those experiencing homelessness in Northern Ireland. Year 8 have continued their meaningful partnership with Abaana by sponsoring the education of 15 year old James Walozi in Uganda. Their weekly donations mean that James can receive an education, medical care and basic necessities. Thanks to their generosity they were also able to send James and his family a Christmas gift. In the summer of 2025, Mrs Caulfield personally delivered additional gifts when she travelled to Uganda to meet James in person. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports these appeals as none of this work would be possible without the generous donations of each pupil, parent and teacher to make a real difference of the lives of those in need. Each week, members gathered at the athletics track, starting with a fun group warm-up activity and stretch before setting off to run their target distances. Whether students were working towards completing a Couch to 5K program, aiming to beat their personal bests, or simply looking to stay active, the club offered something
