PRINCIPAL’S REPORT 2024-2025 Presented at the Senior Prize Distribution in Grosvenor Grammar School on Wednesday, 8 October 2025

best in his new post. Mr Magill retired as Teacher of Chemistry, having given more than 40 years of service to Grosvenor Grammar School. We pay tribute to Mr Magill’s immense commitment to his pupils, and I would like to thank him for his amazing contribution to Grosvenor, and for his support both to me personally, and to all of us. Miss Rainey, Mr Ferguson, Governors, colleagues, ladies and gentlemen and our pupils, I am delighted to present my Senior School Annual Report for the 2024 to 2025 academic year. I thank Miss Rainey for her very kind words and for her wonderful support as Chairperson of the Board of Governors. Welcome, everyone, to our Senior Prize Distribution. I extend the warmest of welcomes to our guest speaker and former pupil, David Ferguson, and it is an absolute honour to have him with us today. Amongst our guests I would also like to extend a very warm welcome to Mr Pengelly, Chief Executive of the Education Authority and likewise a former pupil of Grosvenor; Mr John Lockett (former Principal of Grosvenor), our colleagues from the Confucius Institute and Miss Daphne Rainey. I welcome also Miss McLaughlin, Principal of our Lady and St Patrick’s College, Knock and the College’s Head Boy Danny and Head Girl Aoife. Turning our attention to teaching staff, we said goodbye last year to both Mr Mark Kennedy and to Mr Magill. Mr Kennedy has moved with his family back to England and has taken up a post as a Curriculum Leader.
