runs. This saw Grosvenor win by 5 runs and left Zach with figures of 4-0-11-5. Grosvenor then made the short trip to Jordanstown, hoping to end their season on a high with a victory over a strong Belfast High School side. Once again Grosvenor batted first and with an extremely strong opening partnership between Benny (23) and Ethan (22). Grosvenor were in a commanding position. Once again though, Grosvenor failed to push on in the middle overs, but a strong 20 runs from Alfie followed by 17 from Zane saw Grosvenor defending 114. Little did anyone know the drama that was about to unfold. Sadly, this was probably Grosvenor’s worst performance with the ball, with key bowlers not living up to their usual standards. Grosvenor were dead and buried, with Belfast High only requiring a measly 25 runs of the last 6 overs. In steps Karsten Close. Karsten bowled extremely well and removed their 2 set batsmen. Following this, a few tight overs from Alfie saw Belfast High requiring 4 runs off the last over. Zach once

again had the ball in his hand. Game on the line. Zach bowled extremely well, leaving them requiring 1 off the last ball. In came Zach, a perfect yorker. The batsman digs it out... but straight to Alfie who held on to a super catch. This meant a super over was to follow. Grosvenor batted first and through Dominik, Alfie and Benny put on an extremely high score of 13 off their over. Zach was the man bowling and managed to defend the score picking up 2 wickets for only 5 runs. Grosvenor had won a truly remarkable game. A great way to end a fantastic season. Special thanks also to Mr Hamilton for his dedication and encouragement to this group of players, it has been a joy to play cricket under his guidance. All in all, this has been a highly successful season of cricket for the U14 team and one to build on heading into U15 cricket. Zach Braithwaite 10E

The Under 13 Cricket Team experienced an enjoyable and prosperous season, building on its strong foundation from Under 12 level to reach the quarter

final of the Mourne Cup and win, in total, four of its seven matches throughout the season.
