In the mid-court, Lucy McVeigh worked tirelessly as Centre, connecting our defence and attack. Eilidh Wood and Nina D’Arcy shared Wing Attack duties, bringing energy and creativity to our offensive plays. Jade Archer developed into a formidable Wing Defence, while Nina Laing demonstrated remarkable versatility by covering both Wing and Goal Defence when needed. As their coach, I could not be prouder of the exceptional attendance and positive attitude shown by these players during our Thursday sessions. Even when match results weren’t going our way, the girls never lost their commitment to improvement. They have been exemplary ambassadors for our school throughout their time here. As the Year 14 students prepare to leave our school, this season reinforced that success isn’t measured solely by victories but by growth, commitment, and character. They may not have secured wins on the scoreboard, but they leave behind a legacy of perseverance and sportsmanship that future teams would do well to emulate. Mrs S Logan

The 2024-2025 academic year marked the final season for some of our Senior Netball squad representing the school. Despite facing tough competition in all our matches, the players demonstrated unwavering commitment to Thursday training sessions, fostering remarkable personal development and team spirit. Our season comprised three key fixtures throughout the year. We began with the first round of the Senior League Blitz on 13 November 2024, facing Down High School and Shimna College. On 17 December 2024, we hosted Belfast High School in the Senior Shield, followed by our final tournament on 19 February 2025 at BRA where we competed against Belfast Royal Academy and Glenlola Collegiate. While victories remained elusive throughout the season, each match showed incremental improvements in our teamwork and tactics. Our dedicated squad gave their all throughout their final season: Emma Mackey led as captain and Goal Keeper, organizing our defence with exceptional communication and determination. Georgie Campey provided reliability as Goal Shooter, maintaining composure under pressure. Abbie Carson brought versatility to the Goal Attack position with impressive court vision.
