The 2024/25 season was a hugely positive and enjoyable one for the Under 13A and B Hockey teams Coached by Miss Thompson; both squads showed impressive development throughout the year, combining skill, enthusiasm, and determination in every performance. The girls trained each Wednesday after school, with sessions focused on improving key hockey skills such as dribbling, passing, tackling, and teamwork. Around 30 players attended training regularly, creating a lively and supportive environment where everyone was encouraged to challenge themselves and have fun. Miss Thompson’s structured sessions ensured that all players, whether new to competitive hockey or already experienced, had the opportunity to learn, develop, and enjoy the game. Each Saturday morning, the girls proudly represented Grosvenor in a series of inter-school fixtures, facing a range of opponents from across the province. These matches gave the players valuable experience in applying what they had practised in training, developing their tactical awareness, communication, and resilience under match conditions. Week after week, the players demonstrated commitment and passion. U13A Team The U13A team enjoyed a highly successful season, performing with consistency, confidence, and flair. The A team produced a number of memorable results, with several thrilling victories that demonstrated both technical ability and team spirit. Their passing play and work rate were a testament to their hard work in training, and Miss Thompson was full of praise for the players’ determination to improve each week.
