SPORTS TEAMS
A heartfelt thank you also goes to the parents who have supported the team with their unwavering commitment. Whether it was transporting the girls to away matches, cheering them on from the sidelines, or offering words of encouragement, your support has been a cornerstone of the team’s success. The girls have thrived because of your dedication and belief in them, and I deeply appreciate all you do. To the girls, your hard work, passion, and commitment this season have been nothing short of exceptional. You have shown incredible resilience, teamwork, and determination, constantly pushing yourselves to improve and achieve greatness. Your efforts both in training and on match days have been inspiring, and you should all be incredibly proud of what you’ve accomplished. Whether it was a standout performance or simply contributing to the team’s collective spirit, each of you played a vital role in this season’s success. Looking ahead to next season, I encourage all the younger players to take inspiration from the hard work and dedication displayed by the 1st XI this year. If you are determined to improve and willing to put in the effort, there is no limit to what you can achieve. Strive to earn your spot in the 1st XI and take the opportunity to play at the highest level of schoolgirl hockey. The chance to represent the school at that level is an honour, and it is one that comes with great rewards. This is your chance to write your name into the history books of Grosvenor Grammar School’s Girls Hockey. Work hard, stay focused, and let the journey begin. The future of our team is bright, and with the same dedication, the next generation of players can carry the torch forward and continue to build on the success of this season. Mrs R Murdock
while backing it up with an incredible work rate that deserves the highest praise. Her positive energy and great sense of humour lifted team morale, especially during the tougher moments of the season. But behind the smiles was a player full of grit and determination, who gave everything on the pitch. Erin’s commitment was especially evident as she battled through injury, showing courage and resilience to continue contributing whenever she could. Her willingness to push through challenges for the sake of the team showed her strength of character. Erin’s blend of spirit, hard work, and heart made her a hugely respected and loved part of the squad. Leah has had a strong and impressive season, showing consistent improvement in both her skills and overall gameplay. From the early matches to the final whistle of the year, her growth has been clear to see—becoming more confident, composed, and effective with each performance. Leah approached every training session and fixture with a clear determination to win, always giving her best and pushing herself to improve. Her competitive spirit and drive to succeed made her a key part of the squad, and her attitude inspired those around her. Whether breaking up play, creating chances, or working tirelessly off the ball, Leah made a real impact. Her progress this season is a credit to her hard work and commitment, and she should be very proud of how far she’s come. As we close out this incredible season, there are so many people to thank for their invaluable contributions. First and foremost, a massive thank you to John Teggart for his outstanding umpiring throughout the season. His professionalism, dedication, and expertise have ensured that each match was played fairly and with respect, allowing the girls to perform at their best. We are truly grateful for his time and effort.
